| NUS Business School Mandarin Management Forum |
| |
There are mixed signals in the recovery of the global economy, despite tending towards the positive. The call is for organisations to prepare themselves for the upturn by upgrading their capabilities. While such a call is useful in egging firms to sharpen their competitiveness, the mechanics of fleshing out the call Is still sorely lacking.
With the NUS Business School Mandarin Alumni Business Forum held on 18 September, SMEs had the opportunity to take away critical lessons on how to transform themselves in such an environment. Assoc Prof Brian Hwarng from the Department of Decision Sciences and Mr Liak Teng Lit, CEO of Alexandra Hospital were speakers at the forum while Assoc Prof Chung Chi-Nien from Department of Management & Organisation moderated the session. The forum examined some leading companies including cases studies of Toyota and Alexandra Hospital.
