NUS Business School’s Executive MBA ranks 11th globally

NUS Business School's Asia-Pacific Executive Master of Business Administration programme has been ranked 11th in the world in the Financial Times EMBA 2009 rankings. This is the highest ranking ever achieved by any Singapore MBA programme in global MBA rankings.

Particularly noteworthy is that the Financial Times had placed the NUS Business School in the top group of Business Schools. The NUS Business School's EMBA also occupies the top rank among independent (not twinned with another university) EMBA programmes offered by Asian Schools.

Mr Yang Ou, a current APEX-C MBA student from the 17th intake, commented, “I am proud to be associated with the Executive MBA programme. The programme is intense and insightful and I salute the faculty's dedication and professionalism. As a business leader in enterprise management, it is important to make the right decision and by taking up the Executive MBA programme at NUS Business School, I have definitely proven that I have made the right choice!”

More details of the FT ranking can be found here.

Leadership Dialogue Series: Is Everyone a Leader?

The inaugural Leadership Dialogue session by Mr Hsieh Tsun-Yan on “Is Everyone a Leader?” was a resounding success. Over 200 participants attended the 7 October event, including BBA and MBA students, faculty, staff and alumni. This series is part of the School’s 45th Anniversary Business Thought Leadership series.

As a board room advisor and seasoned CEO Counselor, Mr Hsieh shared his thoughts on what makes a leader. It is not easy; it requires passion, determination, strength and integrity. Everyone can be a leader, but not many are great and respected leaders. Questions came from both students and alumni, who wanted to know how to stand out globally in an evolving world.

One of the participants, Ms Maisy Guan Meixi, a BBA and Master in Public Policy (MPP) Year 2 student and President of NUS Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) commented, “It was an enriching and well-organised event. The topic is important to students nowadays and it will be good that we will have more of such events. Some students are still uncertain about the direction they are heading to. Hence, it would be inspiring to listen to the experienced and credible seniors.”
